Partners

Welcome, all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. This is the week Partners is due to be released. For all of you who ordered autographed books, I will begin shipping those out as soon as we are “officially” released!

Below is a brief synopsis of the last of the Hunter series. I don’t mind saying, it was hard to end this book, knowing I wouldn’t be visiting Tori and Sam again. I’ve created a lot of characters over the years, and some become favorites and stick with you, while others fade to the background. Those of you who have read this blog for a while know that Jake McCoy, from The Killing Room, is one of my favorites. So is Luke from Artist’s Dream. While I will say that, of course, Tori Hunter ranks as one of the all-time favorites, she is nothing without Sam by her side. They are a true team, personally and professionally. I don’t think I’ve created another “pair” as wonderful as these two. Synopsis:

Detective Casey O’Connor is back, this time with new partner Leslie Tucker. They join forces with Tori Hunter to track down a killer targeting single women who live alone. But as Casey and Leslie grow closer, Leslie begins to question her sexuality when she realizes her feelings for her partner are quickly surpassing those she has for the man she is supposed to marry. And Casey turns to Tori and Sam for advice when it appears her relationship with her new partner might follow the same path as theirs. Partners takes us from the squad room to the streets, and into the private lives of four of Dallas’ finest female detectives.

I hope you all enjoy Partners…the continuation of Tori and Sam’s relationship as well as a new beginning for Casey O’Connor as she finds her partner…at last.

Have a great week, everyone!

  1. Hi Gerri, I think you’re not the only one that has a soft spot for Tori and Sam, they have kind of become family for all of us, so they will be missed by all of us.

I’m sure you’ll remember that I told you that I really liked Casey when you introduced her and I kind of have an idea…since Casey is getting a new partner and since this is the last of Tori and Sam. Well, couldn’t you do another book but with Casey as the main character and then Sam and Tori could make a brief appearance. :-D

Needless to say can’t wait for Partners.

  2. Kiss the rain
    whenever you need me
    kiss the rain
    whenever I’m gone too long
    if your lips
    feel hungry and thirsty
    kiss the rain
    kiss the rain
    kiss the rain

  3. Gerri, just remember that Judy already read ‘Partners’ so ship her book last! Now it is going to be tough to not stay up late on a weeknight to finish ‘Partners’ if I get my copy during a weekday but feel free to ship mine first anyway as I have been waiting for the continuation of Casey’s story for almost a year. I’m with Wendy in thinking that maybe you can do a Casey series and have Sam and Tory make an appearance.

Shyfox, two days at work and you are already going crazy?

    Good Monday everyone!

  4. Norma personally since I live the furthest with the exception of Mandy and Adri, ok and Ana since she’s a little more East, I think mine should be sent first since it has to go through customs! ;-)

Glad you agree on gettign Casey to stick around a bit longer. I like her. Oh and I agree about Judy’s copy she can wait until the New Year! ;-)

  5. Gerri, I can’t wait until Partners is released. I just decided I need an autographed copy. I guess you get one on your web site? I too love Tori and Sam and Jake McCoy, but I was especially crazy about Luke in Artist’s Dream. She was so appealing in every way and so sexy. Where do you get these characters? Are they based on people you know or knew in the past, or do they just develop in your mind from the fragments of everything that is stored there? Since I write, too, I’m now thinking…how would I answer that question? Hi to all you girls. I’ve got a wicked flu and I sure hope the rest of you feel better than I do. Janet

  6. hey ladies just stoping in
Dianne i must say you freaked me out something big because as truth be told that is where i live now born and rised. what are the chance of that yea. no one ever knows where the heck that is lol.
    how’s everyone

  7. I am on a quick break from a BORING training session that I have to focus on, but I just wanted to say that I can’t WAIT to get the new book! Looking forward to it and will treasure my first “signed” copy of a Gerri book! (wish I’d known about them before buying all the others!)

As for carrying on the Tori/Sam legacy thru Casey and Leslie, I’m not sure… I have to see how the Casey/Leslie relationship plays out. I like Casey a lot and we’ll see if the new relationship does as much for me as the Tori/Sam relationship. (btw, I agree w/ Gerri, Tori wouldn’t mean the same to me w/o Sam).

CAN’T WAIT! BTW, what’s the official release date? I thought it was today! :-)

OK, back to this class! YAWN! I’d much rather be playing here w/ y’all!

Raye, were you affected by the tornadoes? Aren’t you in NC? Hope ur safe! Norma, the fires getting any closer? Those winds were CRAZY! I was very sad to go from 89 degrees to 42 coming home last night! Now it is back to reality! Have a great day ladies and thanks for all the bday wishes!!!!

  8. hey anneroo yes im in nc but not i was not affected by the tornadoes they were close but not that close thanks for asking i didn’t know anyone had heard of them

  9. Hi WWWendy, shyfox, Norma, Janet, Raye, and Anneroo!
Can’t wait to read “Partners”- woohoo!

shyfox, I will do my best to be good, but I don’t know how that’s going to work out without you watching me. ;)

Norma, I hope those winds aren’t blowing your way. Stay safe! The pics I’ve seen are so scary.

Janet, hope you feel better soon.

Anneroo, sorry you’re bored. We wish you could play, too. That’s some crazy weather you’re describing there. Talk about a big drop.

Raye, how are things in the Bat cave?

  10. Hello GGGGs. Hope everyone is Ok.

Just stop by to say Hi. I started reading Roommates from J. Calhoun and can’t wait to read Partners.

    I’ll see you around.

  11. OH BOY! this will be a LONGGGGGGG week! At least my boss said if the class sux, we can bail out. I’m giving it two days.

  12. HIYA SS!

JT, the weather was a consequence of going from a VERY warm San Diego to a chilly Manchester NH. Looking out the window at the leaves, I wish I was back in San Diego!!!!

Well, I better get back to the “assignment”… even though I am waiting on someone…

  13. Hi JT, Anneroo.

JT, you want warm weather. It’s 80 and beautiful outside. I can send sunshine your way.

  14. hi ggg’s!! :)
sweet that’s Gerri.. i can’t wait to get my copy!! :)
personally i think tori is smoking hot!!!!

  15. wwwendy where are you????? :)
i’m sick and tired of being busy everyday!!

  16. Hi Lotus!

Ah Busy! I know that one it’s all hitting now. I’m doing a 6 day week this week! Bleh!

    How are you?

  17. hey gals…just dropping by to say hello…I finished In the Name of The Father today so it is fresh on my mind when I get partners in a few days…I can’t wait…I need Lin to read it so we can discuss the book….right now I am keeping it all built up inside of me…and I had to scroll a little faster down the comments here so that she didn;t see who had a little thing going on! Well, off to internet land now..have a good night…

  18. Gerri, can’t wait for that new story to come out. Thanks for keeping the gutter open a few more days….

    hope all are doing well

  19. Anneroo, of course! Silly me, I forgot about the time line for your vaca. Good to know those drastic temp changes weren’t happening in your Manchester.

SS, you’re very sweet to offer me sunshine :) Truth be told, I like it on the crispy side. Today was actually pretty nice where I am. Highs around 70.

Hello lotus, Shannon, and Cheri. Hope all had a nice day!

  20. baby raye, what what what? now you freak me out. i cannot believe that in all the small towns in nc. you live there. girl, email me at
    diannetheraspberry@yahoo.com
we have got to talk. i still have tons of friends there that i talk to on a monthly basics.

ggg ladies, i am really going to hate to see this blog end. please lets all keep in touch!!

i can’t wait to get partners. i have been looking forward to this for so long.

norma, thanks for your sweet email. pat and i have just got home from dancing and she has to get up early, so we are going to bed. talk to you tomorrow.

    baby raye, email me soon.
    dianne

  21. Hi, Dianne.

That thing with you and BabyRaye is just too weird. “It’s a small world after all.”

I think Shannon’s started a blog, if I read her email correctly.

  22. Wendy, OK you get yours shipped first. Since it is now officially the 18th in Texas do you think Gerri is in line at the 24 hour post office with your copy?
I told you that you had a play date with Emms on Saturday and you said it was Peg. Now I come to find out it was both you and Peg!

Janet, does the Cleveland Browns winning make you feel better? It was a good game. Sorry Paula! I also liked Luke in ‘Artist’s Dream’ but Gerri is not budging on a sequel. Maybe we can talk her into it when she runs out of ideas. Were you able to find Gerri’s store on her web site? Let me know if you need help finding it.

Anneroo, like I said, send me some of that cool New England weather! It was hot this weekend and it will not be cooling down too much until who knows when. The fires are still a ways from me so we’re good. It does smell like camp fire in LA though.

JT, we get pretty strong winds where we live because of the canyon passes between the mountains. We could have 30 mile per hour winds at our house and no wind 3 miles West of us. The good thing about the wind is that it blows all the haze away and we get good views of the mountains.

Hello Baby Raye! Emms not playing with you today?

SS, I read ‘Roommates’ a couple of months ago and it was very draining emotionally. It was a very good book. I think you will like it.

Lotuspeed, speaking of ’smoking hot’, no text messages today?

Shannon, that is great that you and Lin both read the same books. I have tried to get my SP to read ‘Hunter’s Way’ without any luck. I will try again.

Hello Cheri! Does SM read any of your books?

Dianne, does Pat also read Gerri’s books? I have my niece’s SP and my SP’s ex hooked on Gerri’s books but have not had any luck wmy SP. That’s right you had cloggong today. How was it? How long do you clog?

Judy, amazingly enough I do not get stuck in moderation when Gerri is in charge. Hmmm.

Now that I finished eating my guava and strawberry ice cream bar I am off to bed. Good night/morning GGG’s! I am going to miss say that so I better get it in now while I still can!

  23. morning!!!
yesterday wasn’t a good day.. too much drama!
    but im here today.

  24. Howdy folks!
First off, what’s this about the blog being closed?

Norma, not GOING crazy, have already GONE crazy, didn’t take long at all, looks like uber boss took it kinda easy on our staff while we were away and now they’re all acting like a bunch of spoiled brats!

Tori and Sam are also my favourites, but I also have a very big soft spot for jackie and kay in “behind the pine curtain”, their whole story is so beautiful and I spend the whole book in one of those states where you don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Talking of your crazy US weather, when in Egypt we met some americans who said that you have really big problems with hail damage to cars?! Your hail is really that bad? How big is it?!

JT, I’m keeping an eye on you :-)

Take it easy and have a nice day ladies!

  25. Norma I’m sure Gerri loves me enough to do the 24 hour post office NOT! I just hope she makes the last guaranteed posting date before Xmas, which I think is around this week!

Yeah, you psychic? I wasn’t supposed to, but what can I say Emms Irish charm won me over and yes Peg was there and well Peg and those hands what can I say…when they touch your skin!

    Hey Lotus and shyfox!

Sunny here and the Xmas markets have hit town so I’m going to have a gander!

  26. Christmas markets!?!?! Where?

  27. Hello again…jsut a heads up…Anneroo and I have gotten together to put a blog together so that we can all keep in touch when this goes down. We will let everyone know what it is when this blog is officially closed, as for we do not want to steal from Gerri’s fire…and we all need to talk about Partners after we read it. Anneroo and I just couldn’t see letting all these friendships not sticking together…I know sometimes I just like to lurk and sometimes I like to talk a lot…and with email it does not work that well. So on that note, I hope that we can all stay in touch…and I hope I did not overstep any boundries by keeping a seperate blog up. Thanks again!

  28. In Manchester. They have the European Christmas Markets every year in 4 parts of the city. the biggest is in Albert Square outside the town hall. Just been down and it’s busy. The mulled wine is flowing. They’re here until 22nd Dec I think. Also they’re doing a 165ft snow slope to go down on a tyre at Piccadilly Gardens and an ice rink at Spinningfields. I think you need to take a trip up Shyfox.

Oh and…APPLE STRUDEL girl is back in town….Sigh!

  29. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1079960_market_is_streets_ahead

There’s the link and it’s 21st Dec when they leave town.

  30. Oic! Is three hour drive to manc wendy… maybe if me and SP can both get a whole two days off together. If you like mulled wine, do you have lidl up north? They sell bottles of christlekind gluhwein, you just heat it up in the pan or even in the microwave and it is just heavenly!

So is the apple struddle or the girl that you’re more interested in?

  31. Mornin’ All.

Dunno why I’m up. Course some of you have already saved the world a few times over by the time I’m out of bed.

Keeping an eye on me, are you, shyfox? ;)

  32. Well folks, time to head off to work, y’all have a good day, wendy, try not to over do it with your apple struddle, and JT, yes… I’m keeping an eye on you, so, one word… behave ;-)

  33. Aww, I am always good! ;)

  34. hey ladies JT shyfox how are ya
jt things are busy in the batcave and yes it is small world after all

  35. Heya, Raye.
Ah, you must be working on new gadgets to stock that utility belt of yours.

  36. yeah only in my spare time i do have another life to live up to and that means work lol

  37. LOL, I thought your other life involved dating supermodels and hosting extravagant bashes? Gotta live up to your reputation or people might start to suspect your true identity. ;)

    Sorry, Raye. gtg bbl.

  38. Hi All!

OK, the class is better today. WHEW! So much piling up at work tho! Sounds like that is the case for many of you!

Hi JT, Raye, Shy, Wendy, Dianne and anyone else I missed! Peg, I will put on my creative hat this afternoon!

Cheri, whats the deal w/ SM’s situation? Hope that the treatment is minimally invasive and all is well soon!

Norma, I LOVED the weather! Spent the day at the beach on Sat, and hope that it is still warm when I am back there next month! I will have a bit more time to enjoy it!

Do ya think Ms. Hill mailed our books yesterday? It WAS the official date! ;-)

Norma, I finished the Ali Vali Devil series… pretty good! The thought of lesbian led mob “clans” is kinda cool, but I’d be sure not to piss THEM off! ;0)

K ladies, gotta pay attn. Have a great day!

  39. Hiya girls!!

Wendy, ‘Irish Charm’, I’ve never heard it called that before lol..

Norma i’m always out playing :)

    Hiya BabyRaye, JT!!

  40. hi ya Emmz what about ye?

  41. I’m dead on Raye!! What about ya?

  42. same here and whats this about an “Irish charm” i dont’ think i’ve ever seen it lol

  43. BabyRaye you never give me the chance to show you it!! :)

  44. well you know i think i’d like to see it now then!!:)

  45. BabyRaye, usually it’s just something I can do, but I feel with us, we may have to work on it!!

  46. Hello Emms, Raye.

  47. yeah just like my southern charm at least we can work on it together

  48. hey JT

  49. JT, Hiya what about ya?

  50. I’m well. Dead on, you could say.

“Irish charm,” “southern charm,” sweet talking: all things I’ve heard about the two of ye, and yet have not witnessed a thing. What’s the deal here?

  51. LOL Well JT, Wendy has witnessed mine, I’m not sure who has witnessed BR’s!! :)

  52. Hmm, interesting.

Raye, I think Emms is insinuating something here.

  53. HP has seen my southern charm although i don’t get alot of time to show it off cause Robin takes up most of my time
and Emmz are you insinuating something

  54. Raye, there’s a Robin?

  55. No I’m not girls, I would rather work with facts than insinuations!! ;)

  56. of corse theres a Robin what is batman without robin

  57. Hmm, Raye I think I see a “put up or shut up” challenge coming from Emms.

  58. yeah Emmz loves to give those challenge so what is it this time Emmz
and you know insinuations always lead to fun facts like

  59. Well babyraye that is a true fact lol

  60. yes it is you know how smart i am like lol

  61. Right!! :)

  62. There are my squabbling babies again! Don’t ya just love ‘em!

Shyfox, 3 hours? I’m sure that the girls in the States will tell you that a 3 hour drive is nothing. Although making it 2 days is a good idea because you could also sample Chinatown and the gay village.

Yes, we have Lidl’s and Aldi’s. I’m not a big drinker anymore and there is just something about the taste of it when it comes from the actual market with fruit added to the cup. The stall we tried last year which was the best out of all of them are doing 4 versions this year including spiced cider.

As for the apple strudel, it’s really good. It’s made the traditional way and there is apple and raisins and cinnamon in every layer of the pastry and it’s heavy. Unfortunately, I’m also off sweet stuff too, but I will make a few passing trips to have a little look at Strudel girl! She wasn’t wearing the baseball cap she wore last year and her hair is a little longer! Oh and yes I did take a pic last year, she just happened to be looking my way as I tried to take a not noticable pic from a distance, forgot my flash is so bright it’s like a floodlight and quickly tried to pretend to be taking pics of other thinsg! lol! Not my most subtle approach! lol!

Oh and PK update she was in the office today figure hugging grey dress and I got a wave off her. poor L was talking to me at the time and totally missed that! haha!

  63. Oh Wendy, someone gotta love us huh girls?

  64. Hi GGGs, I’m posting a link to Anna Quindlen of Newsweek’s column for the Nov 18th issue, “The Loving Decision” in case anyone is interested.

    http://www.newsweek.com/id/169157

  65. Hello GGGs.

Emm, just so you know, I love all of you girls. ;-)

  66. Hello, SS, hope you are doing well.

  67. Hi JT. I am doing great. How about you?

The only cloud in my sky is that I’m going to miss the GGGs

  68. Yeah, but a couple of the GGGs have something in the works, I am told, so it won’t be over over, completely.

  69. I certainly hope so.

  70. Wendy…a question for you :-) Are you planning to watch the test football (soccer) game (for the next world cup) between Germany and England Wednesday night? It will start at 8:30pm our time (7:30pm your time). We’ll see who is the better team ;-)

  71. SS, We know!! :)

  72. Hi Mandy! I wasn’t planning on watching it but I will keep an eye ont he scores and obviously England is gonna kick your arses! ;-) But I won’t be a sore loser if we play crap!

And Mandy tell the girls that your Apple Strudel is made the best way.

  73. Ohhh Wendy….I think WE will kick your arses!! Think about the European cup last year!!! Football is coming home…to Germany ;-)

  74. BTW, Apple Strudel (Apfelstrudel) is original made by Austria and very delicious. :-)

  75. NO NO NO! NEVER again! 3 Lions is what it’s all about!

Oh really? Austria! Damn! Well the one in Manchester says Bavarian and isn’t that Germany?

  76. I am remember me very well that the next day after the decision (European cup without England) was a national day of mourning in UK. Many, many broken hearts and a lots of tears… ;-)

Wikipedia says that Apple Strudel is made in Austria. But Bavaria is of course in Germany. BTW, I live in Bavaria. But maybe the one in Manchester thinks that the Apple Strudel is made in Germany because Bavaria is located at the border to Austria.

  77. Hola All! I look 39 again!!!! Went to the salon and got that mop cleaned up! ;-)

OK, I came home from the dog walk this afternoon and nearly peed my pants when I saw a “book box” on my stoop… Bouncing in anticipation, I picked it up thinking it was Partners… but NOOOOOOO, Gerri is going to make me wait LONGER! (is this like a late bday card where the excuse is to make my “special day last longer, Gerri?).

HOWEVER, when SP got home she wrapped it up and gave me the package which made me cry when I opened it… It is a bound “coffee table book” of pictures of my puddy Rorschach that recently passed. I couldn’t have asked for a better prezzie!

MANDY!!! Guten Abend!! I have missed you my Bavarian friend! Good to see you pop up! Ah, the World Cup, I will let you guys fight it out, cuz unfortunately, the American men have just not made a showing worth a good “football” cheer! I will have to see if the match is on a soccer channel here and I can record it!

Wendy, did your shirt say Body shots of Booby shots? ;-)

JT, Raye, and Emmz… whazzat?! Y’all are going to end up in time out!!! (oh wait, you’d be like the breakfast club and get into even MORE trouble! have at it babies!)

SS, send some of that lovely blue sky this way! Actually we had lovely blue sky today, it was the backdrop for strong winds and FREEZING temps! While sitting in traffic due to an accident at about 5:30 pm, the temp flashed 29F! Time to break out the sexy flannie jammies! :-)

Well ladies, my brain is full from training and new cd music I obtained today! Have a wonderful evening! I am off to read more Kate D. mystery (since the Partners have left me hangin!)

  78. Hi everyone. Just poppin in before calling it a night.

Hello, Anneroo! Seriously speaking, I don’t know what I have done today to get me in trouble. I thought I was behaving myself! Just seeking clarification on a few “facts” from the other babies.
Your SP’s present sounds really thoughtful and beautiful. I’m so sorry about puddy, but sounds like your SP really put her heart into this wonderful gift.

  79. AW JT, I missed ya! Was off writing the Pegster an email! DURN IT! nah, i’m just trying to eg you on in the next round of the “baby battles”… OHHH!!! And I never said, but THANKS for the pix! (even if you did artsify it! ). Perhaps, if I am the next co-blogmistress (that is if Gerri gives us a thumbs up) I can wield power and require you to provide an undoctored version (w/ or w/o glasses) before we “let you in!” MWHAHAHAHAHA Ok, I’m not THAT evil (well, maybe I am!).

Yes, the gift was fab and so is my SP! :-)

K, it’s midnight my time… Cinderella’s coach just turned into a pumpkin! Now I gotta RUN!

  80. Hello GGG’s!

Anneroo, there are 3 Ali vali ‘Devil’ books. Did you read all 3 or just the first two? What did you think?
It was 85 on my way home from work but it is supposed to be in the 50’s later tonight/early morning. We have the windows open and the house fan on. I hope it gets a little bit chillier for Thanksgiving so that we may have more of a holiday ambiance. Have you bought your Starbucks Gold card yet? You pay $25 bucks to buy the card and you get a free latte and 10% off your purchases. At the rate we go, we would save $5 a week so SP bought one yesterday.

Wendy, does it really take that long for mail to reach you from the US? Does it go by canoe? What’s up with that? Last time I ordered a book from Gerri it only took me 3 days to get it. I am hoping to get my package by Friday so that I can read it straight through without having to worry about staying up late and then getting up early for work. You really are in the Christmas spirit aren’t you? I just knew you would not be able to resist Emms’ Irish charm and that is how I knew you would be on a play date on Saturday.

Shannon, good job on getting together with computer whiz Anneroo to get a blog going. How is Ky doing?

Shyfox, a 3 hour drive in LA is called a commute. Piece of cake. It once took my SP 3 hours to get to her old job using public transportation. She decided to drive after that since it took her less than an hour to drive herself.

JT, thanks for the link. Is a new pic on it’s way??? We’re waiting.

Baby Raye, if you are Batman is Emms Catwoman or the Joker?

Emms, speaking of Lucky charms, do you have Lucky Charms cereal in Ireland?

Mandy, what holidays are coming up in Germany? Is your next big holiday Christmas?

SS, how was the date? What do you think of ‘Roommates’ so far? I just finished Radclyffe’s ‘Night Call’. I think you will like it. What other books are on your bookshelf to read?

I took my girl out to a nice restaurant for her b-day tonight so I am very stuffed. Don’t ask me how I was able to finish the chocolate lava cake with a scoop of ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side.

Good night/morning GGG’s! I hope the anticipation for ‘Partners’ doesn’t kill me before I wake!

  81. Anneroo, did you say pumpkin? Yummy!

  82. Wow, Norma. You’ve got us all down. ME, another pic? Uh… *looks around.* Ok, I’ll see.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riZDdhQLPQU Midnight Cinderella. pumpkin eating. Warning: Country tune.

  83. JT, you are something else! You must definitely work in the reference department. Have you not ordered your copies of the Ali Vali books yet. I’m sure you can stroll on down to your local library and have them get them for you. I happen to know someone who works for the library. Do you need any help?

  84. Oh, Norma. Each time I’m ready to go, you leave something and then I have to answer. :-P
I work in a small branch so we don’t have a reference department. It’s sorta one-stop shopping, if you will. I’ve got Ali Vali’s books on my list but I’ve got to finish up a few others first.
Now, just what kind of help are you doling out here?

  85. JT, oh you nevermind and go to sleep!

  86. lol, ok, I go, I go. night night :D

  87. OK, so I have been lookin for my glass tennis shoe so haven’t gone to bed yet…

Norma, yup, read all three… Anticipating a 4th given the way #3 ended… but since #3 just came out, looks like I’ll have to wait. And I will send you my pumpkin swirl cheesecake recipe!

JT, Don’t think I can do Garth tonight. I’ll let it be my get going tune tomorrow morn. Really off to bed now.

  88. Good eveining girls!!!

Well, hopefully tomorrow I will be a “great” aunt!!! :)

My neice is going in at 9 AM tomorrow and they are planning on either inducing her or she will be having a “C” section. The baby is breach and they are going to try first to turn the wee one around. If they cannot do it….then they will do the “C” section. Still no Idea if it is a boy or girl so we are continuing to call it “HERM” (her/him)

RUBBIN update….I did two back to back rubs today for the first time, plus I did one yesterday, and have another one tomorrow, and then again on Thusday. Once again….the rubbin business is getting good. :) But I will admit, I could use a rub tonight…pretty sore!!!

No worries WENDY….I will be certain to save my energy for you award winning rub!! ;)

NORMA…We broke a record here today….78 degs. It was FANTASIC!! And we had one of the most incredible sunsets you would have wanted to see.

EMMA…Hope your enjoying your holiday and keeping Raye out of trouble. LOL

ANNEROO….Thank you so much for the email. I’m certain I will sleep much easier tonight having that information. :)

To everyone else not named…..Your NEVER forgotten!!!

Good night ALL (the entire GGG Walton family) :)

    RP

  89. Norma…Yes, our next holiday is Christmas (I’m looking forward). We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but I bet for you it is always a great occasion to celebrate with your family. Do you celebrate with your “complete” family or just the immediate family?

  90. Peg, how nice of you to join us! where have you been? I was wondering about your niece the other day. Keep us posted.

Mandy, I just got an e-mail yesterday from my siblings asking what dish I was going to take to my brother’s house for Thanksgiving. We always have every holiday gathering at our house for my SP’s family so on Thanksgiving we have anywhere from 15-25 people for a very early dinner (noon). I hang around until about 2pm then I go to my brother’s house where my parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and brother-in-laws all show up (14-15 people). Sometimes one of my cousin and his wife will come over. The only one missing will be the niece that is in college. We always have way too much food and usually more dishes than people! The best part is that Thanksgiving is always on Thursday and most people have Friday off as well so we get a 4 day weekend.

Have a good Wednesday everyone and may something show up in the mail soon!

  91. Hiya girls :)

Norma, yes we do have Lucky Charms over here lol

Peg, Yes i’m enjoying my time off, It’s going in to quick tho! And as for Raye, it would take more than me to keep that girl outta trouble lol

  92. Hi All!

Well, this morning my pumpkin turned not into a beautiful carriage, but into a web meeting interface! I’m having a little trouble focusing due to a Coloradian! However, I think she has her fingers and mind right now (ooh wait, that did NOT come out right!)…

I’m amped up on 32 oz of Peets coffee brewed here at home. Norma, I did not get a gold Bucks card, cuz i work from home, but SP may well have bought one. You wanna me pumpkin swirl cheesecake recipe? If so, email me and I’ll shoot it your way!

Lucky charms! Dried up mushmallows! I’m more of a crunchberry girl when i can get my hands on “yummy” cereal…

Norma, your thxgiving sounds lovely. Since both SP’s and my families are FAR away, it is usually just us. Since she’ll be having surgery this friday we’re going to forego a full meal (which she for some reason likes to cook while I put up xmas lights) and go to our FAV Italian place on Fri (which is giong to have 50% off entree’s on friday! YIPPEE!!! That means I can have wine too! :-)

OK, training (yawn) is starting up again… Have a wonderful day ladies!

And Mandy, mein Bonbon, I owe you!!!!

  93. hey ladies hows it today
and Emmz that was wrong everyone here knows you’re the one that gets me into it to begain with like lol

  94. Morning, all.

    Hope everyone’s day is pleasant.

  95. hiya jt what about ye?

  96. Whatever BR lol

    JT, Pleasant enough, howz you?

  97. oh so now i’m just BR ok i can dig it lol

  98. LOL I couldn’t be bother typing BabyRaye!! :)

  99. Hello Emms and BR, I’m well.

  100. Sorry, Raye, maybe it has something to do with all the other ppl’s two-letter handles.

  101. thats good JT

  102. its all good i like it

  103. :), very good. glad you like it. We aim to please! :D

  104. DAMN! It is bloody cold here!!!! I made the mistake of taking the dog for her walk w/ NO HAT! My ears are on FIRE from the cold! Frost heaves are all over and it is COLD COLD COLD! (click heels 3 times and see if you get back to CA, Anneroo!) NOPE, didn’t work… DAGNABBIT!

AND… TO make things worse, no Partners in the mail today… (sniffle)…

HIYA Babies!!!! Sounds like y’all are doing well! Where the heck is Lotus?! Did the Navy ship her off to war or something?!

Y’all have fun in the playpen! I’m back off to my training!! Have a great one!

  105. Oh, hi, Anneroo. Couldn’t quite make out what all you were saying about Colorado girl.

  106. OOH! Trainer is catching up a student who was absent this morn so I checked my email! Bella Books sent their November release mail and WHO should be at the top? But our Top Notch Author!!! Yea Gerri! OK, now I am REALLY wishing my book came today! ;-)

  107. hi anneroo how’s ye

  108. Hiya JT… nuttin about our Coloradian… She promised me something, lost it w/ those oil coated massaging fingers, and wanted me to help her find it… alas, we couldn’t, so just like Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast (I’m full of movie references these last 24 hours… and mostly children’s movies!) i’m left to say… “well Pegster, remember the usual things… flowers, chocolates, promises you don’t intend to keep” - sigh…

Eating my garlic cheddar so all you vampires stay away, this stuff is AWESOME (and strong).

  109. Hiya Raye! Dis one ‘ere is gud!! but its back to training! Gotta focus! Play nice!

  110. I love “Beauty and the Beast.” Still wondering about your Colorado girl. I think I got discombobulated after the 2nd line of your comment, so I still don’t know what happened.

  111. nuttin happened to her… I was just using my computer technical skills to help her out w/ something… B&tB is my SP’s FAV movie, we watch EVERY Xmas…

  112. Good choice. Glad nuttin happened to her. Have fun at your little training. (Are they ever not boring?)

  113. interesting… i was reading about the new releases by Bella… and there’s one called “whispering pines” that reminds me a LOT of Gerri’s short story the Zeiko place… HMMMM!!!!

  114. Anneroo, agree with you about “pines.” Finally read the Zeiko short the other day (had been putting it off on account of ghosts ;) ).

  115. Hi All!

Spent the day at a technical event with quite a few people from work. Was held at Man Utd’s Stadium, very nice! The afternoon workshop I attended were were able to get a view of the pitch so I took a shot of it with my phone and sent the pic to L saying the best club! He supports Liverpool! haha! Got a text back saying not funny! I thought it was LOL!

Anneroo, that was the nicest gift from your SP. So thoughtful, hope her surgery goes well on Friday. And sounds to me like someone peered very closely at that pic to read the writing. My face is higher up! ;-)

Norma, yes it really does with things coming from the States. Letters usually take 5 days, but anything larger takes longer because it has to go through customs, need to check Gerri hasn’t sent any contrabrand between the pages ;-)

Peg, I know I’ll certainly get an award winning rub and just think you’ll be the only GGG that gets her fingers on what’s beneath that Tee! ;-)

Emms, wanna share some Baileys? ;-)

Mandy soon time for your ass whipping! Shame the match is only a friendly though. And yes I remember us not getting through that year. lol! Football here is usually the only thing that makes men cry! Well other than kicking them in the…. ;-)

Hi Baby Raye and JT and if I missed anyone you too! :-)

  116. Hello, WWWendy, sounds like you’re in a good mood today.

  117. hey Wendy didn’t you see i’m BR now lol what about ye

  118. Wendy…the football game has already started. I will keep you informed about the score. Make some noice for Germany…. ;-)

  119. I’m always in a good mood JT! Well 95% of the time!

Oh Sorry lil sis! Blimey changes her name and doens’t tell me!

  120. LOl! I’m actually off to watch Little Dorrit and then Heroes but I’ll check the PC in 30 mins so let me know! ENGERLAND ENGERLAND!!!!!!!!! ;-)

  121. OOH Mandy! Keep me up on the score!

Wendy! Heroes! Are you in series 3 like us? I’m not sure how I feel about about series 3… Certainly don’t like it like I did w/ series 1 & 2

  122. Oh my goddness….England scored a goal….*f..k* *f..* *f..k*

BTW, Upson was the scorer (’23min)

  123. OOOH, You poor Germans…. DAMN! I WISH I could watch it!!! I love watching soccer/football!

  124. At the moment the Germans trying everything but not very successful. I’m sorry that you can’t watching the game but it is only a test game/friendship game for the world cup in 2010. Hopefully for you, USA will also participate to the world cup.

  125. Hi girls…

just a afternoon update….in approximatly two hours I will be a “great Aunt” My niece is going to have a “C” section.

ANNEROO…F.Y.I. I’ve regained some of what I lost. Hopefully by tonight I will have EVERYTHING right back where it belongs.

WENDY…hmmm, under the tee??? :) You do realize that skin on skin is where I do my best work!!! ;)

    OK…gotta go wait on a “BABY!” :)

  126. LIKE I said ENGERLAND ENGERLAND! ;-)

    And Anneroo, Hhhmmmph!

And yes we’re on Series 3. I love the cute little blonde, Daphne! Ok and I like Claire too!

  127. Best of luck to your niece auntie/great auntie Peg!!! You going to visit or is that not an option?

  128. What’s Little Dorrit?

  129. JT, a story about a horrible prison ;-)

  130. Thanks, Anneroo. Been wondering.

  131. Hey Peg, great aunt, well we all know you’re great! ;-) All the best with that.

And yes I kind of guessed you’d be at your best skin on skin, and since I’m a new version, I’ll ditch the shyness! :-)

  132. Hey JT, got that book at your little library? I should re read it! Maybe after Partners…

WAZZAT?! Wendy, you are going skin to skin w/ Pegster?!

  133. WHAT! Annerooo! YOu trying to annoy me today?! Just a story…It’s a Dicken’s classic. English Literature. Go wash your mouth out young lady! Hmph!

  134. I think it’s easier to just watch the series, thank you BBC!

Yep, me and Pegster skin on skin showdown! ;-)

  135. Anneroo, don’t think we have it in my branch. Probably elsewhere in the system.

I had an English teacher hold Dickens in disdain on account of his being paid by the word.

  136. ME?! Wash me mouth out w/ soap?!?!?! WHADISAY!? Actually I took that line from Bad Girls when Helen asks Nikki what she’s reading before their FIRST KISS!

Yah, well, you lucky BBC’er…. We only get BBC America which doesn’t have it yet! I’ll have to watch the old version w/ Obiwan Kenobi (Alec Guinness)! Heard the new one is pretty good tho!

  137. And if it is such a classic, READ IT!!!!!! Otherwise, folks like our baby JT will be outta a job! (then again, maybe she has the video/dvd)

  138. HA! That is funny JT, Never did make it thru Great Expectations!!!!

  139. ;)
    “Reading is a fundamental skill.”

Don’t know that we have it on dvd. Little Dorrit looks to have gone through seasons of light and darkness.

  140. OH MY WENDY!!!

Now its a showdown??? Have you been holding out on me?? Do you really have “happy hands” behind all of the “shyness?” ;)

BTW..ANNER, A visit? hmmmm…I would be welcome if I wanted. Maybe?

OK, now to get ready for work. Damn!! Look at the time, I gotta go!

    Later girls, carry on!!! :)

  141. I never said to wash it with soap now did I? I might have insisted on something alcoholic to disinfect it! ;-)

Yeah the BBC one is good and they did an excellent Tess of the D’Ubervilles recently with Gemma Arterton, new Bond girl.

I buy my books Anneroo haven’t been to a library in years. Actually, I’ve just started Elizabeth Gaskell’s North and South.

  142. Library: “We’re books and more.” ;)

  143. GOAL FOR GERMANY…..!!!! Yeah!!! (’63min)

  144. Peg, I would NEVER hold out on YOU! But no I really am shy in that area, BUT I’ve decided to make a few changes as you’ve noticed so I thought what the hell just go with the flow, chill out a little. And Bingo, you gain! ;-) Actually, I think it’s more ME gaining! :-D Oh and I think I have nice ok hands!

  145. DAMN! That’s all I’m gonna say! ENGERLAND ENGERLAND!

Oh really JT and what’s the more?

  146. hey Wendy i didn’t change it emmz did lol

  147. WWWendy, I don’t know what kind of answer I should give you. The “straight” answer or the “tongue-in-cheek” response.

  148. Oh did she now? And she never told me either! I might need to take those keys off her! She’s quiet today.

  149. Both? I like to know both answers. lol!

  150. OOOH the football match is tied?! Congrats Mandy! What does the next 27 mins hold!!!!

Wendy, you don’t know what ur missing - so much fabulous material (and library workers!) And there is nothing I hate worse than buying a book and not liking it (they get donated to my library). If I know an author is a sure thing, great… Not to mention I don’t have much room for any more books… THe are already sagging the shelves of my bookcase! (ask Mandy about the state of my bookshelf!)

Pegmeister! Go see him/her if you get the chance! I remember seeing my nephews in the first month they were born… and now they are nearly 8! Amazing the personalities then and now! And if you are taking care of Wendy on ur table this winter, BE SURE that the oil and those fingers are WARM!!!! ;-)

JT, is that the catch phrase for ur library? I know for our library that is true! (except they dont’ have very many lesfic options!).

  151. OOH BR is back!… and given the temp here, i’m changing it again to BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! And of COURSE we dont’ want the ’straight’ answer JT! WHO DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!?!?!

  152. Anneroo! Now why are you supporting Mandy’s team and not mine? I’m gonna sulk now and there was me being your BOTS and you don’t even support my team!

Actually, I only usually buy books I’ll want and I donate mine to an animal charity shop. My local library is only a small one. And I only go there to get my batteries every few months!

  153. Oh no…the second goal for England….bullshit… (’84min goal scorer Terry)

  154. Anneroo, more like my phrase. I don’t know that our system has one at the moment. Think they’re paying some marketing ppl to come up with something.

WWWendy, The straight answer: Yes, we have books, but we also offer public access computers/ wifi internet access, conduct computer classes, storytimes and craft activities, have DVDs (movies and non-fic stuff), assist in interlibrary loans, and so on.

T.I.C.: For starters, there’s moi. How could anyone ask for more. ;)

  155. WWWendy, batteries?

  156. Whhoooo Who scored Mandy?

lol! That’s a good T.I.C. Have you had any responses to that?

  157. lol! Yeah hearing aid batteries. Rather than have to go to the hospital I can collect them from the library.

  158. John Terry was the second goal scorer. He is the captain of the team or?

BTW, the game is over!! England is the winner!! Congrats to you, Wendy! Can you see the tears streaming down my face….:-(

  159. Now, remember, I said T.I.C., so I’m not THAT conceited.
WWWendy, I’d have to answer yes, but it’s on the verge of stalking. Not good. Someone tried to invite themselves to dinner- with me cooking!

  160. hey yea you just might and go england

  161. Aww, poor Mandy. It’ll be ok.

  162. Thank you Mandy. Told ya, Football is coming home to ENGERLAND! And I know you aren’t really crying it was only a friendly. Doesn’t really count.

lol! They did! haha! Now surely they should have invited you to theirs and cook for you.

Thank YOU lil sis supporting my country unlike a certain traitor called ANNEROO!

  163. sorry mandy but i must stick with my big sis

  164. Yes, WWWendy, they did. You are right about that, though the answer would have still been “no.”

Wendy, do you like alfredo sauce? I once made it was shiitake mushrooms instead of meat. It was a shocking surprise to me that it was so good.

  165. JT, yes it was only a test game…but the next game versus England we will win :-)

  166. Wendy, you wouldn’t take my keys would you?

  167. Yes, I think I do, although if I’ve had it it’ll be when I’ve been eating out. You know most things do taste better when you DON’T have meat with them.

    Poor Mandy so disillusioned….not a chance! ;-)

  168. Depends Emms, what you up to bartering?

  169. The shiitake ups the umami facto

  170. I love mushrooms anyway, so that would work for me.

  171. well i’m off for tonight ladies see you after work tomorrow and emmz stay out of trouble you know its no fun when its just one lol

  172. Sure I do BR!! :)

  173. Bye, Baby Raye!

  174. later ladies

  175. Wendy, I’m thinking a foot rub or something??

  176. Actually I’m really good at foot rubs. But I hate having them can’t stand my feet being touched.

  177. LOL Well if you would rather rub my feet, all the better!! Ok how about a chinese then ;)

  178. I think you need to aim higher!

  179. YAHOOOOOOOO!!

HANNAH RENEE SNYDER!!!! born at 2:08. Haven’t got the weight yet. But I DID get a picture!!! OMG!!!! I know everyone says it, but its really true….SHE’S BEAUTIFUL!!! :)

  180. Hey Peg, Congratulations! Great news! Do your happy dance!

  181. CONGRATS AUNTIE PEG!!!! HANNAH HANNAH BO BHANNAH BANANA FANA FO FHANNAH FEE FI MO MHANNAH, HANNAH!!!

  182. ANOTHER SCORP! VERY COOL!

  183. Congrats, Peg! I was gonna sing the songs but Anneroo here beat me to it.

Wow, all these stingers in the fray. I must tread carefully.

  184. Errm Actually, I think Peg will agree with me on this when I say that Capricorns are the best! ;-) Scorpions usually have a sting in their tail! lol!

  185. So, do we have a majority of Scorps on this blog?

  186. Peg, HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN! :)
Great Aunt, cane and rocking chair is on its way, its obligatory ;)

  187. And Emms will get you a room where she works! ;-)

  188. Of course, staff discount :)

  189. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

I will be sending pictures out ASAP!!!

EMMA…I will deal with you later!!!!

I NOW need to get myself together and back down to earth!!! I have to at LEAST pretend to work!!! :)

  190. Peg, I’m sure you will, but it may wait until tomorrow, there are lots of stuff we need to discuss regarding your ‘NEW HOME’ eg, Dietary requirements, Continence issue’s that sort of thing :)

    Night all!

  191. The one night I get on the blog after work and I believe I’m too late, everyone in bed?

RP/Peg, congratulations! So glad you have your little new bundle of joy… makes me a bit nervous about the niece I’m expecting tho. Can’t wait to see the pictures.

BTW, thanks everyone for discussing the match, recorded it and watching it now but score is spoiled, now I know everything! Mandy, verdammt! vier haben verloren! Aba nachste mal… ;-) (sorry about the punctuation, I don’t have a german key board)

JT, you ARE naughty, but in an innocent kinda way, which is cute, did you look up the song I left you? Kiss the rain by tracy chapman, I love it.

  192. Hello, shyfox

  193. Hey sweetheart, how you doin?

  194. I just popped in. Fancy seeing you here. I’m well. How’ve you been? I understand being back at work has you crazy already?

  195. So, you think I’m naughty, huh? ;)

  196. Yeah, crazy and tired, seems there’s always too much to do, always someone off sick increasing my hours and stress, sorry if I’ve been a bit of a party pooer lately but I’m ready for another holiday alreay.

Enough about me, what you been up to?

  197. nothing much- check in, check out, putting up books as Wendy likes to say. It’s gotten a little cooler here these last few days. holiday coming up next week for Thanksgiving, then it’s back to the ol’ routine.
Foxy, is it like 3 AM there?

  198. 3:24

Doesn’t thanksgiving feel a bit wierd? Like having christmas a month before christmas or something? Us with german connections have nicolous coming up, leave your boots out, freshly polished, the night before and when you wake up they’re full of chocolate! YEY!

  199. Chocolate? Not coal? I thought naughty little girls got coal in their stockings/boots. ;)

I don’t know about it thanksgiving feeling weird. It’s sorta the Christmas prep holiday, I guess. Like the rehearsal dinner where maybe. Used to be the day after Thanks was/is a crazy shopping day for ppl to buy their presents. I’ve always felt Thanksgiving seemed more food centered and XMas more gifty so the general feel is quite different, imho, anyway.

  200. Personally, I rather like Thanksgiving as its own little holiday. Doesn’t feel like a XMas precursor to me, but I know it can be that for some people.

  201. lol, for nicolous, if you’re naughty you get a switch of birch for your parents to whip you with, christmas, if you’re naughty your stocking is indeed full of coal, SP has never forgotten the christmas she got a stocking full of coal, it was an easy task, when santa came the christmas eve they were supposed to recite him a poem, only she hadn’t learned hers and couldn’t do it, so she woke up to a stocking full of coal, her parents never backed down a few days later or anything, no pressies that year!

So you don’t have turkey at christmas?

And BTW, I’m a very good girl. always chocolate and presents… and of course an orange in my stocking.

  202. You have a lot to give thanks for?

  203. For your sake, I’m very glad you’ve always been a very good girl. A whipping as a present doesn’t conjure images of bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Very sorry bout your SP and her coal. She got goodies from the next XMas on, I hope? Her parents sound tough, but I’m glad they were celebrating XMas and not nicolous.

Well, I don’t know. Seems like it would always be a bunch of food at XMas but not necessarily turkey, whereas we always had turkey on Thanks when home. In fact, I made the turkey for the last 2. Out of town this time, though, so no cooking.

  204. Foxy, you’ll have to let me know when you get too tired.

  205. You live too far from home now? Or you can’t get the time off?

We always have turkey for christmas (sorry, catholic and can’t stand the abreviation xmas, but understand why others do it) although the last few years my mum has taken to doing a “multibird” a duck inside a chicken inside a turkey, christmas for us is lots of everything, lots of food, lots of presents and lots of booze, exagerated I think because of the size of our family, I have three siblings and now all of us have partners… and by this christmas a new addition of course! But not home for christmas this year, have to work…

  206. Ah, a turducken/turduchen. Does she do it all herself? I think ppl can now buy them ready in this area.

Going out of town w/ the family, so no cooking for any of us this time.

Sounds like your Christmas celebration is quite the bash. Should be interesting with the new baby this year! You sound a little anxious/nervous maybe?

Sorry you’re working, foxy. Working in the library, I’m one of the local govt’s employees so we get the holidays off usually. I did have to take one day since we’re going out of town.

BTW, how’s the guitar coming along?

  207. My mum makes it herself, including the stuffing!

Yes, I am anxious/nervous about the new baby, and always about being with the family… it’s not exactly an open subject with my parents, although they love Kay to bits, lol, sometimes I think more than me… like I said, it’s not an open subect, although it is with my brother and sisters and that causes a little tension, plus, my parents don’t like my job, “it’s not a proper job”, even though we do pretty damn well for ourselves, they tend to do their best to rip our lives to shreds, their words are kinda like jellyfish, all of a sudden you’re gonna get stung. And with the baby, my sister is a bit of a nutter and I can see her being crazily overprotective.

The guitar’s coming ok, although with work I don’t have so much time for it…

  208. OK sweetpea, is time for me to try and get some sleep, has been lovely chatting with you as always, will be on in the morning but maybe too early for you, see you soon and take care x x

  209. Sounds like your mom goes all out for the holiday.

So, what is it about the baby coming that has you nervous? Don’t know what to expect maybe? Sounds like you have a decent relationship with your siblings, and you’ll soon be an aunt!

I’m sorry about the parents and the tension. *hugs*

  210. OK, goodnight foxy. You know, you can always email me, too. You’ve got the addy.

  211. Congrats to Great Aunt Peg!!!

I’m tired today so that’s all I got!

    Good night GGG’s!

  212. PEG! Just got your email, SHE’S GORGEOUS!!!! Those beautiful eyes are gonna bring both girls and guys to their knees. Congratulations once again :-)

JT, yeah I’m nervous about being an aunt, and yeah I guess it is because I don’t know what to expect, first off I worry about what my sister will expect from me, she always has high expectations, I worry that I won’t be able to see her often enough being as we live so far away (5 hours) and I don’t wanna be distant, and thirdly… I worry about how I will influence her but hope that it will be in a good way.

  213. Hi Shyfox

That’s a lot of worrying. If I was you, I’d go with the flow and worry when she gets near her teens! Also, your sister shouldn’t put high expectations on you, you can only do your best. I’m sure you’ll manage to be there for her as and when she needs you even with the distance.

On another note…in 30mins I’ll be sipping mulled wine! :-D

  214. YEY! You going to the christmas markets? Apple strudle? I’m so jealous! Chatting on msn with my mate in estonia, she sent me pics of where she lives, snow everywhere! I want snow, think we might get some over the weekend, how’s the weather up north?

Thanks for the pep talk, I know I should relax a little. :-)

  215. No Aplle Strudel but I will look at her if she’s there! ;-) You need to come up think about it leave at 7am get here for when they open at 10am. I’ll even pop along and show you around.

They forecast an arctic blast Sat and Sun, which is not good since I’m riding Sunday. So maybe, but for us I think we’ll get it on the hills and not near me. It’s dull today, but dry. How about you?

I think I’ll be seeing plenty of snow come Dec/Jan and I’d bring you some back but think it might melt! ;-)

Yeah you should relax and believe me when she hits her teens you’ll be grateful you live 5 hours away! lol! It’ll all be fine and don’t let people put pressure on you, give your best and if you’re best isn’t good enough for them, then sod ‘em! ;-)

  216. Give apple strudle girl a wink from me ;-)

I think we’re off sunday monday, so if I can persuade Kay we may take you up on your offer, thanks.

What exactly are you riding sunday? Same here today, dull but dry, and COLD! Good for me tho as I have to cycle to work today.

Thanks for your offer of snow, but I should be seeing plenty dec/jan too… ahhh those german mountains, can’t wait!

Do you ski? Or just hike? I wasn’t allowed to ski when I was a kid so I’m still kinda sucky at it, but really enjoy hiking too and think I might try cross country skiing this year.

  217. BTW, SP being german, anything to do with ice or snow and she does it better than walking. lol! Very annoying for those of us who can barely stay upright but also very pleasant to watch that little butt swooshing around me :-)

  218. Well Sunday I ride at 2pm so I wouldn’t be able to make it, but Monday I’m in work in there, so I would meet at lunchtime and show you round and again after work if you wanted. No problem.

    The riding is Horse riding.

So you’re off to Germany then? Sounds good and I’ll be hitting yanksville! ;-)

Nope never skied and not planned to either. Hiking only did for the first time in July in Utah and loved it.

Ok off to get wine. If I’m not back in time, I’ll catch up tonight.

  219. Have fun wendy, but at the same time… BEHAVE! ;-)

  220. Good Morning GGGs

Congratulations Peg. Beautiful baby. Don’t spoil her too much. Greau Aut, HMM. Getting old? Don’t worry, as long as you keep the expertise in the hands, you are still young. ;-)

Shyfox, by the way you sound, I am sure you are going to be a very good aunt. Do not worry, because you will have the opportunity to prove yourself in that area.

I have a niece and a nephew & adore them. They are like my own and since they were born, following their steps, cheering and supporting everyway I can and believe me I am not that good with kids, however, this is something that comes from inside.

Norma, I have not read much of Roommates, because you know I was kind of busy. Calhoun is a good writer, however, I would like a little more spice in her stories. I can’t tomplain, because all her books are kind of blands in that area. Of the 21 books I bought, I still have about 7 Radclyffe books, Gill McKnight Falling Star, Education Of Ellie & Frances’s Training Days. Them I have another big order ready to be process, that will include our beloved Ms. Hill’s Partners & Aftershock.

The date went good. No more details Norma, don’t be courious. Going out againg Saturday night.

Yesterday was a Holiday in PR and I went to one of my nephew’s baseball games. God I am going to miss him when he lives to Oklahoma next year. I am trying to go to every game now, because in the future is not going to be easy, in spite of all the free miles I have.

See you later, GGG’s. I have a beauty parlor appointment to go to. Trying to do a miracle. HA HA.

    Hasta Luego

  221. Oh Lord! I am never going to make it thru the training today! BLAH BLAH BLAH! I’m already yawning and its only 10 am!

Peg, are you safely settled in at Emmz place of employment?

SS, you sound like you have a hUGE library! Enjoy!

Hi everyone and have a great day!
    FOCUS ANNER, FOCUS!

  222. OYE! ITs COLD here today! Weather.com says 29F, w/ a windchill temp of 19F… Gonna be the pillsbury dough girl by the time I bundle up to take the dog out at lunch!

Break over! back to training! Come on coffee, KICK IN!

  223. YEA…it is snowing outside…Ky was squealing with delight when she saw it! I wish I could be home with her. I came into work and got my Thanksgiving present…Steve and Barry’s is going to be liquidated and I am going to be out of a job in a few weeks!!! So I am at work job hunting now…I bet I will make a lot more appearances here now!!!
LITTLE GIRLS ARE THE SWEETEST!!!! She is an absolute doll!!! When days like this get me down, I love to see pictures of little innocent lives that have so much to offer….I guess it gives me hope that there are better things out there…That’s it, I need another baby!

  224. Hi GGGs …

Just wanted to pop on and add some comments to Gerri’s about “Partners” … first of all that such an excellent play on words for the title. I’ve told you before that you’re gonna love this book but I truly believe that there is at least one more book in the Hunter series stored away in Gerri’s noggin. I’d be more than happy to outline it for her if she will promise to write it! :-D BUT alas I believe I’ve also told you that she likes to do just the opposite of what I ask … beg … plead … bargain with her to do.

If you haven’t already ordered your copy, you’ll want to hurry and Norma, you didn’t have to tell Gerri to leave me for last. She ALWAYS does!!! ;-)

  225. just wanted to drop in and say hey

  226. Hi all! I was very disppointed to come back from the dog walk to grab the mail seeing there was NO book box! Maybe it will be a Thxgiving prezzie?

HP, hope you are hanging in there and good luck w/ the upcoming events!

OOH, i think you SHOULD put an outline out there!!! If nothing else, it will inspire ANOTHER story… and I just cant’ get enough of her stuff!

    K, back to class!

  227. You sure were all a quiet bunch today!

Judy, since yours will be last do you think we can talk Gerri into hand delivering it? Maybe you can outline what will be the first in the Casey series. Work your Southern charm and see what you can do, will ya? Wait a minute, since Gerri is also a Southerner does that mean she is immune to your Southern charm?

SS, I have read all of Radclyffe’s books and am jealous that you have 7 of them to look forward to. While ‘Roommates’ definitely has passion, it has more angst than anything else. Have a good time on Saturday night.

Shannon, Ky is at the age where she really notices things and will remember the little pleasures in life such as the first snow of the season. Take lots of videos.

JT, finally catching up on your sleep?

Anneroo, it was hot today. It must have been in the high 80’s. I went to my sister’s football game tonight with my brother. We were freezing and it was only 64. I went with my brother that is 2 years younger and it always feels really strange walking through the high school that I left 22 years ago. Where else but in East LA can you purchase pozole, tacos, and churros at the snack stand? We even saw a lady wearing a knit shall in the school colors with the name and number of one of the players. We laughed like crazy at that one. Being that you are from SD you can probably appreciate that.

Baby Raye and Shyfox, you guys are in charge of Wendy and Emms tomorrow. Keep them out of trouble!

Good night for now GGG’s and Gerri as I have to get up in less than 5 hours for work. Everyone have a good Friday!
