After many subtle suggestions from readers, and finally a push from my publisher, I’ve decided to join the Land of The Blog. Which, for my friend Judy, no, it’s not a sci-fi movie! But what to blog about? You don’t want to read about writing all the time and I certainly don’t want to write about writing all the time . . . so, you decide. You want to hear about what I’m currently working on? You want to know where I get my ideas? You want to know what we have planted in the garden? You want to know how adorable Casey is? You want to know what Diane looks like? (I say that because I get emails all the time wondering why there is no picture of her on my site) (she’s shy) Do you want to know why a book ended the way it did? Do you want to know a good recipe for vegetarian lasagna? You want to know why I don’t like to write sequels? Do you want to know a good camping spot in Colorado? Or do you want to know about a specific character or plot? Tell me what you want to know. Drop me an email at gerri@gerrihill.com or leave a comment.
Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy all of your books. What do you have planned for the future after your next release? Also, do you have a job other then author or is that your full time work?
Tammy
Hi Gerri,
There a couple stories that I have enjoyed reading and still enjoy reading. I read the request on the Academy of Bards site about suggestions for a blog. Here’s a couple for your to consider.
A day in the life of Gerri Hill.
A little bit about you and your family.
Include a vegetarian recipe, any recipe.
Have fun with your site.

Gerri,
I really love all your books. In fact you are putting them out so quickly that I’ve gotten a little behind. I’m hoping to finally finish my collection this year. I would love to hear about your editing process. Do you have someone help you? Just any advice you might have about that. As a writer myself, I find that editing is where I get bogged down at.
I also love the picture here. I lived in southwester Colorado for a few years and it is just one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Have a great day
Tina
Hi Gerri,
Love your books. Thanks for writing them. I would like to hear what you are reading. When do you get to plant the garden in Texas? Here in New England, we still have a couple of months to wait.
Good luck with the blog.
AJ
Okay, Gerri, I get it. Blogging is not as frightening as the “blob”. Seriously, I love this new feature to your Web site and I’m sure all your other fans do too.
Dear Gerry
I was over at Karin K blog and I got the link to yours. What a great idea. I am new to your books. I bought them all recently so I am indulging on your stories little by little. I do think that I will read a couple of them again because I so enjoy them the first time. I live in Washington state and the outdoors is our daily bread, since I work out there all day.Your books are both fun and informative since we a thinking of panning our next adventure around one of them. If you are interested we will tell you of our favorite hike in WA State.
Later
Doris
Thanks Gerry
Hi Gerri,
Same as Doris,I just popped over from Karin’s blog. So you have a garden hmmm? I’m enjoying watching the crocuses, daffodils and early tulips coming up right now. Haven’t decided which veggies to plant this year. I am really tired of growing tomatoes (which only my partner enjoys). Any suggestions?
Hi Gerri
At long last!!! …a blog from one of my favourite writers. thank you so much
Hi Gerri
Greetings again from South Africa!! It’s been a while since I have had a chance to visit your website and WOW … what a surprise to find the blog!! I think it is a wonderful idea and I support the suggestions for topics made so far. I’m sure I’m speaking for all your fans when I say we would really like to get to know Gerri Hill, the person, not just the immensely talented author.
As regards your books, I can’t wait to read “In the name of the Father”. My partner is currently reading it and enjoying it thoroughly. We’re planning a trip to Cape Town the end of the month so hopefully I’ll get a chance to read it then! Also, I’ve heard a little bird whisper that I’m getting “Rainbow Cedar” as a birthday gift as soon as it’s released. I can’t wait!!
Good luck with the blog and thank you so much for sharing a bit of “you” with us! I’ll sure be visiting more often from now on!
Kind regards
Ulundi
Geri, I’m so happy to see you now have a blog!
I’ve been a fan of your work for a few years now. After reading One Summer Night I ordered another one of your books, then another one and by now I proudly own every book you’ve published.
The only thing that absolutely sucks for me, is that I live in the Netherlands, so I always have to wait a month or two before I can order your latest release… but so far, every book has been worth the wait! So thank you very much for writing them
Hello Gerri,
First thanks for the great writings (kinda) I just read “The Cottage” Damn you….I hate to cry!! Still a great read. Loved “Dawn of Change”. I do enjoy sequels so I can’t wait to start “Hunter’s Way” and “In the name of the father”.
A Blog, your a better woman than I. My wife is always giving me grief about moving on into the 21st century with computers and TEX messaging. Just finding and participating in a blog is a big deal for me.
O.K. so I live in Colorado (Morrison, just west of Denver) My wife is a native and I’ve been here for 22 years from Michigan. Camping is our first love, can’t wait for enough snow to be gone from the mountains for our first trip. So, tell me your favorite place to camp and I might tell you ours. We don’t do camp ground though. And why in the world would you move from Colorado to TEXAS??
O.K. there is my first ever blog participation. How’d I do??
Really though…..Keep writing!!
Hi Gerri,

Hi Gerri,
Just wanted to say I LOVE all of your books. Found Hunter’s Way in a little book store in DC a coouple of years ago and have been a fan ever since. Even passed One Summers NIght to a friend (she use to play softball) Now she is hooked too. Anyways can’t wait to get to read more about you as a person and thank you for writing such wonderful books.
Thanks very much, Missy! Welcome to the blog….
Hello, Gerri~~~~
I’m your huge fan in South Korea…
I’ve read all your books except for “one summer night”
(I’m not good at english..ㅡ.ㅡ;)
“…wondering why there is no picture of Diane on my site…”
It means that there is your picture on your site?????
Where????Where???Whe~~~~~~re~~~~~????
Hi Huge Fan! Welcome to the blog….well, yes, there used to be my picture on my website, but we finally got a new site and lost the picture.
I’m the photographer in the family, so as I take all the pictures, I don’t get to be in any! We are going to Colorado this fall and I promise to have Diane take a couple of me for the site!
Hey Gerri,
Love all the books, and definately getting alot more into your blog now. Love the idea of a guest blooger, I’m a blogger myself *looks around* [I want to share it but don't wanna spam], nothing too professional [yet]:

How can people be guest bloggers? Did I miss that part? =O
Have a great week.
Jasmin
Hi, Gerri, I love love love your books. Hunter’s Way is my 1st love but I love them all. I cannot wait to read Partner’s I hope it is out before Christmas I am going to buy it for my girlfriend. I just love the concept of the new girl reliving the awkwardness that Tori and Sam went through. Awesome. Gulf Breeze is also a good one. I cannot wait I am about to read Rainbow Ceder for the first time. Thanks for writing.
Sara
Hi Sara…welcome! And Thank you. I like the way Partners turned out…we get Tori and Sam back, of course, but we also get a new romance for Casey O’Connor that I think you’ll enjoy. Hop on the blog anytime!
Gerri,
I don’t know where I have been, but I am just now finding you as an author. I am currently on pg 214 of “The Killing Room” and just love your style of writing. I appreciate your pacing, not too much angst (I just hate the forever lesbian angst drama club), and sizzling sex scenes found relatively quickly into story line, and just the right amount of description of characters to allow my imagination to fill in the missing parts. A perfect combination for me as your reader. Thanks.
I have a few writing questions I would like to ask you. Could we email?
Keep up the great work. I have a fun summer of reading ahead of me thanks to you.
Cheri
So I shocked Linda again with getting her watch fixed…in the same week that she got her book that you signed for her. I think she is past the fainting stage and just wants to know why I got sweet all the sudden. Allright..so here is my question…so why is it that (mind you I have never been sentimental or anything) that if I do something sweet, it is strange…OR maybe it has come to my attention that I didn’t treat her as well as she has treated me the past few years. So do I just lay low and not do sweet things for a while…or should I continue to do them cause I want to, but risk her thinking that something is going on covertly that is NOT…?!?!?!?!?
I love all your books an look forward to the next one.
I am a new fan! A friend gave me your book “The Rainbow Cedar” I got the feeling you follwed me around-it was my life- of course names and location were change to protect the innocent. You were able to put into words so many things I felt, but counld not never explain or find the words to express- Thank you!
Any recommendation on which of your books I should start reading first?
hi gerri, i’ve read all your books and enjoyed them very much. I enjoy re-reading them also. You have a great gift. I especially love your portrayal of Sam and Torri. Keep going!! Slan
